In order to install Gear VR you need to have the following enabled on your phone.
- com.facebook.appmanager (App Manager)
- com.facebook.system (Installer)
Instructions
- Go into your settings, swipe screen down and select the gear in the top right corner
- Scroll down and tap Applications. Then tap Application Manager.
- Scroll down and find com.facebook.appmanage and Enable
- Go back and hit More in the top right corner.
- Tap Show Systems Apps
- Scroll down and select com.facebook.system and Enable
- Restart your phone for good measure and try to install Gear VR again.
