3 reasons Ted Cruz Will not Sue the National Enquirer

Written By Ed on March 31, 2016 | 9:41:00 am

The National Enquirer published an article accusing Ted Cruz of infidelity. The magazine printed a smudged faces of 5 women that Ted Cruz had extra marital affairs with. Whether these accusation are true or not, yet to be seen, but rest assure this will have a negative impact on Ted Cruz's bit for highest office in the land. Unless somehow Ted Cruz proves the National Enquirer wrong, his quest to secure the GOP nomination will be challenging.

Reasons Why Ted Cruz Will Not Sue:
  1. There must be some truth to this story, otherwise the National Enquirer would not take the risk to create the opportunity to get sued. National Enquirer has two lawyers that review and check the validity of content.
  2. Ted Cruz does not want to lose focus on his campaign. He still feels that he can beat Donald Trump, specially now that some polls show he is ahead in some States. Any focus on this issue will be a diversion.
  3. The expression "The more you dig, the more dirt will come out" is synonymous here. Ted Cruz knows if he gives it attention the more dirt will come out, and this is why he won't sue. This is going to be a slippery slope for the senator. We believe this is not just going to catch momentum immediately by National Enquirer, but in the coming weeks or months it will get heated. As his campaign picks momentum, he might face more accusations. Currently all the major media outlets have not focussed on this issue due to lack of evidence from National Enquirer. More importantly, this is a sensitive issue even for the major media outlets. Once some concrete evidence surfaces , Mr Cruz will be put on the fence. This is only the beginning of a showdown between Cruz and the Nation Enquirer.
