Samsung Galaxy S7 Pre-Order Sales Soar

Last week Samsung announced its latest smart phone flagship, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. The S7 is not a dramatic departure from the Galaxy S6 model, but there are some major improvements that would boost the Galaxy sale this year. Many consumers renew their old phone in early Spring or late Fall due to contract expirations. What is making the pre-orders hard to resist is Sam
sung including a free VR Oculus headset along with 6 VR games in the pre-order deal.

Our sources from South Korea confirms that the first 24 hours of pre-orders sales soared compared to last year. This weekend will likely bring even more consumers to retail stores to check out the new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge models.  To bring more customer attraction, Samsung has included free VR Oculus headset and 6 VR games for customers who pre-orders the S7 models between Feb 21 and March 18.

We first had our hands on the S7 sets last weekend in Barcelona Spain, and have to admit the Galaxy S7 phones are the most handsome android phones on the market.  It is curvier, beautiful, and attractive looking phones. We were particularly impressed how the S7 edge curves around the edges and it feels really great on the hands.

Although carriers in the US will primarily launch the product with 2 colors (black and gold) in S7model and 3 colors (black gold and titanium silver) in S7 edge, and rumors are at some point in mid summer, all US carriers would sell the white handset as well. But the pre-order are mainly with these 3 colors.

While playing with the phones, we noticed that gold is really elegant and flashy. It has a really shiny surface on the back, but it also it a magnet for finger prints. The black really stands out and looks very elegant . On the black the bezels on top and bottom blends with the gorilla glass making it feel like a solid surface. The back on the black S7 is not as shiny as the gold or silver, but you also notice less finger prints. We know choosing a smart phone color is matter of personal choice, but we really liked the black color. The titanium silver is more of a blend between black and silver with dark color tone.

Although it is hard to predict how well the S7 would sell until mid summer, but the sales outlook seems promising for Samsung.  This is a good news for Samsung despite fierce competition from other Android and iPhone smart phone. We predict this weekend will be busy for US carriers and customers would flock to retail stores to take a glimpse of the new S7 and S7 edge and a handful of customers would submit their pre-orders.
