The CES 2015 is just around the corner, and we expect a number of TV manufacturer giants to show off many new 4K models on January 5-9 at the CES event in Las Vegas. 2014 was relatively successful in 4K television sales. This was due to a couple of reasons: One the prices came down, and second many 4K TV models offer the UHD up-scaling feature that up-converts the HD content to 2K-4K. Although HD TVs will be around for another 2-3 years, we can assume that 4K will dominate the show rooms in 2015. Although currently there are very limited 4K contents available, but the 4K TV models provide more beautiful and sharper pictures than the HD models. And they are somewhat affordable. We expect Samsung to produce more of the LED 4K TVs, and they might even show case their QD (Quantum Dot) technology with a high price tag. Sony will also feature a few limited new models. We anticipate LG to show case more of the OLED TVs hopefully at the fordable price range. We will provide more details after these electronic giants show case their products.
